When launched, PowerPoint Online typically opens the Presentation Gallery that you can see in Figure 1, below. This Presentation Gallery provides several ways to start your new presentation using a template, a Theme, a recent presentation, a not-so-recent presentation, or even a blank presentation. These and other choices are explained in this tutorial.

Here, you see all your recent presentations. To open, click on the name of any recent presentation. Don't be surprised if you see presentations that you may not have edited or opened on this computer since PowerPoint Online lets you work with presentations created anywhere, including ones that you create on your tablet or phone.
This option brings up your OneDrive folders where you can locate a PowerPoint file to click, so as to open within PowerPoint Online.
This option allows you to add or remove saved locations. At this point in time, you can add a Dropbox account. You cannot remove your OneDrive account, or even add an extra OneDrive account. Learn more in our Add Dropbox to PowerPoint Online tutorial.
This section provides quick access to the templates. Click on the New blank presentation thumbnail to create a blank presentation.
