Manage and Remove Connected Services in PowerPoint for iPad

Once you add a Place in PowerPoint for iPad, you may want to remove it. This is especially true if a friend or colleague temporarily added their OneDrive or Dropbox location to work on an urgent file using your iPad or iPhone. Or you may have added a personal Place account to your organization’s device. Fortunately, it's easy to remove a Place.

Follow these steps to remove a Place in PowerPoint for iPad:

1. You should be on the opening screen of PowerPoint for iPad, as shown in Figure 1, below.

3. If you have already opened another file, you will have to close it by tapping the Back button on the Ribbon, as shown highlighted in green within Figure 2, below.

2. Next, tap the Settings icon on the left pane, as shown highlighted in red within Figure 3, below.

3. In the resultant Settings pane, tap the Storage Accounts option, as shown highlighted in red within Figure 4, below.

4. Doing so brings up a list of connected cloud-based storage accounts, as shown in Figure 5, below. To remove any of these accounts, you must tap on the Edit option in the top-right, as shown highlighted in red within Figure 5.

5. This action allows you to edit connected storage accounts, as shown in Figure 6, below. Tap on the red minus icon towards the left of the storage account that you want to remove, as shown highlighted in red within Figure 6.

6. The moment you tap on any of those red minus icons, you will see the Remove option, as shown in Figure 7, below. Tap this Remove option, as shown highlighted in green within Figure 7.

7. PowerPoint will ask you to confirm whether you really want to remove this Place. To continue click the Remove option, shown highlighted in green within Figure 8, below.

8. You will see a Removing Storage Account message briefly, as shown in Figure 9, below.

Place, Storage Account, or Service

Why do you add a Place, and remove a Storage account? Well, the words Place, Storage account, and Service seem to be used often interchangeably in PowerPoint for iPad.
