Add Content to Collections in Docs.com

We have already explored what a Collection within Docs.com signifies, and how you can create one. Now that you have an empty Collection, it's time to add some content within the Collection. Before you proceed further, you will need to make sure that you have signed into your Docs.com account -- without signing, you won't be able to access a Collection!

Thereafter you can add content or links within the Collections. In Figure 1 below, you can see that we have already created a new, empty Collection named "Graphics" -- you can ascertain that the Collection is empty because the caption for the Collection says 0 items (highlighted in red).

Now lets us learn how you can add content to this Collection in Docs.com:

1. Click to open the collection where you want to add content, as shown in Figure 2. Here click the Add content button, as shown highlighted in blue within Figure 2.

2. This will open a page, as shown in Figure 3.

3. Note that you can choose two sources for the content to be added in the Collection:
• Click the Published option (highlighted in red within Figure 3, above). Now you can view all the files uploaded by you.
• Click the Liked option (highlighted in blue within Figure 3, above) to view a list of files of other users that you have liked.
In either of these lists, you can choose the file you want to be added within this new Collection.


4. To choose a file, click on its thumbnail and you will see a tick mark to indicate the selection, as shown highlighted in red within Figure 4. After selecting the file click the Save button, shown highlighted in blue within Figure 4.

5. Similarly we selected one file from our Liked list, as shown in Figure 5.

6. In Figure 6, below you can see the two selected files are now added within the collection.

7. If you see the collection thumbnail now, you will see there are two items within the collection, as shown highlighted in red within Figure 7 (compare with Figure 1, earlier on this page).
