Change Connector Type in PowerPoint 2011 for Mac

You have already learned that there are essentially three types of connectors that you can use to link shapes or other slide objects in PowerPoint 2011 for Mac. Also, you can add any of these three connectors (Straight, Elbow, or Curved) as per your requirements. However, what if you add a connector of one type and later realize that you should have used a different type? You need not delete that connector, and place another type of connector in its place because PowerPoint allows you to change from one connector type to another very easily:

1. Carefully right-click (or Ctrl - click) just the connector (not the slide objects that it connects) to bring up a contextual menu that provides you with the three connector type options as shown highlighted in red within Figure 1. The connector type you right-clicked is always the one that has a check mark in front of it within the contextual menu.

2. Within the contextual menu, select the connector type that you want to change to. In Figure 2 you can see the Elbow Connector is being selected.

3. In Figure 3, you can see that the Straight Connector has changed into an Elbow Connector (compare to Figure 1).
