The Developer tab in PowerPoint 2011 has options that let you work with VBA content and macros. By default, this tab is not visible and has to be turned on. Follow these steps to make the Developer tab visible (or invisible):
- Launch PowerPoint 2011. Select the PowerPoint | Preferences menu option, as shown in Figure 1.

Figure 2: Ribbon tab within the PowerPoint Preferences dialog box- Within the Customize section, in the list of tabs, select the checkbox for the Developer tab (highlighted in red in Figure 3). Conversely, deselecting the same checkbox will hide the Developer tab in the Ribbon. Click OK to apply changes and exit this dialog box.
