As such, Microsoft only claims support for the iPhone - but that does not mean that other iOS devices are not compatible with Office Mobile. iPhones: Office Mobile is compatible with iPhone 4, 4S, and 5. These devices need to be running iOS 6.1 or later.
iPods: Office Mobile can run on a 5th generation iPod touch running iOS 6.1 or later.
iPads: Office Mobile can be installed on an iPad, but it requires a 3rd generation iPad running iOS 6.1 or later.
