Your presentation slides become more easy to manage when you create and rename Sections. By using Sections in your presentations, you can logically categorize your presentation slides. If you want to move a particular slide or set of few slides from one Section to another, you can easily do so in PowerPoint 2011, as explained in the steps below:
- Open your presentation within which you have already added Sections. Access Slide Sorter view and then click to select the slide that you want to move to a different Section. In Figure 1, below you can see that we selected the last slide within the Section named 'Author Your Presentation' (as shown highlighted in red within Figure 1), the selected slide is identified by the orange glow around it (refer to Figure 1 again). Similarly, you can select more than one slide (both sequential or non sequential) for moving.

- Drag the selected slide(s) to the Section where you want it to be moved. In Figure 2 below you can see that the selected slide is being dragged into a new Section named 'Share Your Presentation' (as shown highlighted in red within Figure 2). You can see a preview of the slide thumbnail being dragged into new section, as shown highlighted in blue within Figure 2. You can also drag the slide(s) to a position between two existing slides of the target section.

- Release the mouse button with the slide thumbnail preview placed at the required position. This will move the selected slide from the previous container Section to the new Section, as shown in Figure 3.
