Joining SlideBoom

Learn how you can join SlideBoom, a PowerPoint sharing site.

In our About SlideBoom tutorial of the SlideBoom series, we explained you about the SlideBoom online presentation site. While you need not be a member of this site to view presentations, you must join as a member to do practically anything else such as posting presentations, downloading files, commenting, etc. In this tutorial, you'll learn how you can become a member at SlideBoom. Remember, SlideBoom in its present form is a free service, and the basic membership level is also free.

Follow these steps to join SlideBoom:

  1. Visit the SlideBoom site, and click the prominent Join Now button that you can see in Figure 1.

  2. This opens up the signup form page that you can see in Figure 2, fill in all the form fields as required. In this tutorial we have chosen to sign up for their Free account where we can upload up to 100 presentations. SlideBoom also provides a Pro account where we can upload up to 500 presentations (annual subscription required). Choose the account you want, and click the Register button. Make sure you save your sign up details such as the password in a safe place.

  3. In the next page, you can see whether your registration completed (see Figure 3).

  4. Once the registration is done, you'll receive a confirmation e-mail from SlideBoom in your mail inbox. Figure 4 shows the mail we got from SlideBoom.

Now that, you have created a SlideBoom account, we'll show you how you can sign in and upload your presentations to the site in subsequent tutorials of this series.
