After recording narrations within Adobe Presenter, or even after importing audio files for your slides, you do not hit a road block. There's so much more that you can do with your narrations, and Adobe Presenter lets you edit the timing of PowerPoint animations to synchronize better with audio files. For instance, let us imagine that you are working on a slide with bulleted text that has entrance animations. You can use the Sync option to adjust animation timings so that the narrative matches the text being animated.
To use the Sync option, make sure you have a presentation that has narration added within Adobe Presenter. Thereafter, follow these steps:
- Within PowerPoint, access the Adobe Presenter tab of the
Ribbon, and click
the Sync button (highlighted in red within
Figure 1: Sync button within the Audio group
- This opens the presentation in a new window. Notice the large Sync button, highlighted
in red within Figure 2, below. Click the Sync
button to start playing and synchronizing the audio with animations on the slide.

- Do note that as soon as you press the Sync button, it changes to the
Pause button as shown highlighted in orange in Figure 3, below. This
button is useful if you want to pause your synchronizing for a while and come back later. When you come back
later, press the Pause button again to start from where you left off.
Figure 3: Synchronizing animation with audio
- As the audio plays, click the Next Animation button (highlighted in
red within Figure 3) to synchronize the starting point of the
animation with the word or sentence being played at that point. If you have more than one animation on the
slide, the number of animations to be synchronized yet is displayed within the Sync Audio
dialog box, as shown highlighted in blue within Figure 3.
Click the Next Animation button again to synchronize the timing. Repeat this step for all
animations on the slide.
- Once done with the first slide, move on with the same procedure to sync animations on the rest of
the slides. When all slides are done, click the Stop button, as shown highlighted in
green within Figure 3, above. As soon as the
Stop button is clicked, you are presented with the Save option, as shown
highlighted in red within Figure 4.
