There is no dearth of sites providing royalty-free pictures that can be used in your PowerPoint presentations -- but, none of these provide the breadth of choices that you can find at the Microsoft Office site (Office.com). Even better, all these pictures are free to all licensed users of Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint. Office.com allows you to download various types of clip media, including pictures.

A PowerPoint Blog: Saving Themes In PowerPoint, Word, and Excel 2010
Similar to PowerPoint 2007 (also Word and Excel), PowerPoint 2010 uses a variety of built-in Themes that are installed by default. In PowerPoint, you can find these in the Design tab of the Ribbon. It's a good idea to learn how you can save individual Theme files for several reasons: you may want to customize a particular Theme file, you may want to share it with others, or you may just want to backup the Theme file for future use. Applying a Theme in PowerPoint applies Theme Colors, Theme Fonts, Theme Effects, Theme Backdrops, and much more. However there are scenarios in which you really don't require such a complete makeover or metamorphosis. In that case, you can still apply Theme Colors and Theme Fonts and leave all other Theme attributes unchanged.

Applying a Theme to an existing presentation is easy -- and you'll find that plenty of themes are already contained inside Office 2010. In PowerPoint 2010, these Themes can be found in Design tab of Ribbon. Applying Themes in Word 2010 and Excel 2010 is a little different -- you access the Themes gallery from the Page Layout tab of the Ribbon.

A PowerPoint Blog: New Features in PowerPoint 2010
PowerPoint 2010 is so much awaited, and it's great to know that Microsoft has unwrapped some information on what's new in this upcoming release of the world's leading presentation program. The new Office 2010 site has videos that show new features for all of the Office 2010 programs including PowerPoint. PowerPoint 2010 provides cool Artistic Effects for photos with live previews. New transitions have been added, and the Animation Painter option copies animations from one slide object to another, and that's so cool if you have added and fine-tuned your animation sequences and timings for one object and want it repeated on another! There are new video options including reflections for video clips, video trimming capabilities, and new navigation controls. File compression works better and you can save your PowerPoints as video clips.
