PowerPoint Blog

SlideShare, a leading site that lets you upload and share PowerPoint presentations now supports Apple Keynote files too. All you need to do is zip up your Keynote presentation files and upload.

It's great to see them finally support Keynote. I'm seeing more and more people present professionally with this tool and having started using Keynote myself recently, I can see why.

Thanks for covering this, Geetesh!

Keynote is favored by a lot of great presenters (paging Steve Jobs), so we think it's a big deal that these presentations can finally be shared online.

Post-launch, we're making a special effort to highlight Keynote presentations on the site.

One weird thing: keynote is technically a directory format, rather than a file format. So you have to zip it up before you upload it! Remarkably, this means that you can't forward keynote presentations by web email (since you can't upload them via a web form). Blew my mind when I found that one out!

Adobe Captivate's Edit View

In an earlier post last week, I discussed Adobe Captivate's views and compared them to PowerPoint's deafult views. I also explained about the Storyboard View. In this post, I'll look at Captivate's Edit view, which in many ways is similar to PowerPoint's Normal view. If you are not already in Edit view within Captivate, choose the View drop-down in the toolbar, and select Edit View.
