Microsoft Office 2003 is worth the upgrade
When Microsoft released their new Office 2003 Suite in November, 2003, many people claimed it was just a money grab and that the upgrade didn't offer enough to warrant the price. Showtime Follies
The PowerPoint road show presentation lives on, despite maltreatment of the art form by occasionally clueless presenters. By comparison, an all-video presentation is too costly to create for all but a handful of high-value events. At the other extreme, winging it in public without any visuals could cost you a chance to underscore your important points. Bill Howard tells more on the PC Magazine site...

PowerPoint and Video

Ray's File Extractor
Often, you end up creating a presentation that contains 50 slides. Then you need to take the 20 most important slides from the presentation and save it to a new presentation. So, what do you do? Many users would delete the slides they don't need and save the remaining slides to a new presentation. Only that things are not so simple - you might end up deleting an important slide and then do worse by overwriting the active presentation by saving the file. If this situation sounds familiar, you need Ray's File Extractor add-in. Let's explore...

Animation Carbon - Review
With the launch of PowerPoint 2002 (and 2003), animation metamorphosed from a simple single click attribute to something much more enriched, and complicated. Designers spent hours mastering the new motion paths - and fine-tuned the timings on multiple animations. After the jaws finished dropping and the wows were over, designers were expected to create a similar animation effect for another presentation element! It was often felt that it would be great if PowerPoint had a library feature where all such animation procedures could be stored - and then imparted to objects with a single click. Our product for review, Animation Carbon fills that void. Let's explore...

Wilbers: Making your point more powerful
As a presenter, I like using PowerPoint. Although I don't like having the slides in a fixed sequence, and I worry that dimming the lights will give my audience unneeded assistance in falling asleep, I do like the way PowerPoint enables me to emphasize and illustrate my points with highlighted text, graphs and photos. There's something about those big, fat, color letters that makes the words more interesting. Read more about what Stephen Wilbers has to say...
