The Antivirus Defense-in-Depth Guide
Microsoft announced the release of their Antivirus Defense-in-Depth Guide on the web. Although many organizations have deployed antivirus software, malware continues to rapidly infect computer systems around the world. There is no individual reason for this, but the current situation indicates that the standard approach of deploying antivirus software on each computer is not sufficient. Microsoft created this guidance to help IT and security staff better understand the threats that malware poses to more effectively plan a sound defense against them.
