It's not that presenters are trying to fool anyone, they're just trying to present their project in the best possible light.....An extreme illustration of how format can overshadow content is found in the book Catch Me If You Can. It's a true story about a man named Frank Abagnale (Leonard DiCaprio played him in the movie version), who appeared so convincing in his fake airline pilot's uniform that bank tellers and hotel clerks cashed his bad checks without hesitation. They paid too much attention to format (the looks of the airline pilot who was presenting the check), and not enough to the content (whether the check was any good or not).
